Biography and Works

Sharon Rajnus was an artist before learning to fly in the 1970s, and this new perspective became a compelling part of her new work. Rajnus comes to aviation in particular from a father who was an engineer and Project Administrator with Lockheed Aircraft during WWII.

This heritage serves to strengthen the believability of the scenes created by Rajnus as does working alongside an A&P with the 2 1/2 year challenge of rebuilding a 1948 Stinson 108-2. The Stinson joined a C-120, Stinson 108-3, Maule, and a Helio as part of a parade that led to wonderful, paintable places through the years. Paintings hang in numerous collections and exhibitions across the country, including the National Park Service and the National Weather Center, Missouri.
