Jim hails from Warner Robins, Georgia, Home of the Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation and the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame. As a proud Vietnam Veteran, Jim honorably served in the United States Air Force for thirty-four years, both as an Airman and in the Department of Defense. In Vietnam he served as a photo journalist with the 600th Photo Squadron and did some work for the "Stars and Stripes". As a D.O.D. civilian, he was the Art Director and Exhibit Designer for the Robins Air Force Base Museum of Aviation and the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame. A twenty-five year occupation. Jim also served on the Robins Air Logistics Center Command Staff.
Since his retirement in 2006, Jim has been operating Blue Heron Studio and Gallery located in Kathleen, Georgia. Jim also serves on the City Regional Development agency (Mayoral Appointment) as a city planner, an active Board member of the Middle Georgia Fine Art Society, member of the Middle Georgia Military Affairs Committee, proud Artist Member of the ASAA, and Board member of the Cherished Children Education Center of Warner Robins. Jim is a Residential and Commercial Designer plus an art instructor.
Jim's artwork may be seen at the Mighty-eighth Air Force Museum in Savannah, Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins, the Pentagon, and in the offices of State Representatives and U.S. Senators.
