Following earning a Fine Arts Degree in painting from Florida State University, Alex served in the U.S. Marines for nine years as a fighter pilot. Years later, His painting “T-3 Returns to Yorktown” won an award at the museum's first Naval Aviation Art Contest— thus completing the cycle between art and history. Alex currently flies the Boeing 757 with American Airlines.
